The upland bird hunting is the best it has been in Northwest North Dakota since the 90's. If you hunted this area then you know how many birds there was then and it is very good again. If we have a good winter and spring next years numbes should be outstanding. I will try to post some more messages here keep you up to date on the hunting in NW North Dakota

I went out driving around on the afternoon of Friday Nov. 3rd and seen over 200 pheasents all in large groups due to the snow cover. Most of the snow melted over the weekend so I am sure birds are spread out again. The trails are really sloppy and muddy hasn't been cold enough to freeze the ground after the snow melted. Deer season opens this Friday at noon and should be good for both the deer hunter and the pheasent hunter with the temperature to remain above normal for rest of the week.
